A collector I met years ago just came back with a request I didn’t expect.Back in 2018-2019, they bought one of my very first pieces — right as I was returning to art after years away raising my kids. Now they’re back for a companion piece. My style has evolved a lot since then, but instead of asking for “more of the same,” they said: “I trust you. Make what you make now.”That kind of trust is rare. It’s exactly what lets an artist grow instead of repeat themselves.Grateful for collectors who buy the artist, not just the piece. 🎨👉 Ready to start your own piece? Commission slots are open — DM me for details. #artistmom #commissionsopen #nativeamericanart

I almost quit making art this year. Not because I stopped loving it. Because everything else ;being a single mom, health issues, hustle while keeping it together mentally and physically, everyone’s advice about staying in my lane , do this or do that. It wasn’t working. So I gave myself the smallest possible permission: just sketch. No pressure, no gallery, no plan. That sketchbook found my visual voice again, and it turns out it’s been quietly shaping my figurative oil paintings the whole time. Some days it’s oils in the studio. Other days it’s watercolor and this sketchbook outside. Two mediums, one voice, both mine. Now I’m ready for the next part: building this into a sustainable business ➡️but on healthier terms than I’ve tried before. Less hustle, more heart. I want to lean into connection, community, and creativity — building this with people, not just selling to them. That means selling my art directly to the people who connect with it. You.No map. No compass. Just building it in real time.Following along means you’re part of it from here. Hit follow — I’d love for you to see where this goes. 🎨#ArtistJourney #WomenInArt #SketchbookArtist

I almost didn’t sketch today.I was tired. I’d been running around all day, and I couldn’t think of one good reason to get my sketchbook out.But I did anyway. One quick sketch turned into this watercolor, and I’m calling that a win. Here’s the before and after.#Sketchbook #watercolorandink #dailysketch

No pencil. No eraser. No mistakes to hide behind.

No pencil. No eraser. No mistakes to hide behind. 🖋️I’m early into a new sketchbook, and I switched it up on purpose ink and watercolor instead of oils, landscapes instead of figures. A professor once told me: if you want to grow, change your subject or change your medium. So I did both.Every mark has to count when you can’t take it back. That’s the whole point. To everyone who’s been following this sketchbook with me — thank you. More pages (and some exciting new work for you all) coming soon 👀#watercolor #inkandwash #sketchbook #landscapepainting #artprocess
